Quality Standard Size Frames

As skilled frame makers with professional tooling to make quality bespoke fitted picture frames, we also offer a great selection of our own ready made standard size frames that you can use for your own do-it-yourself picture framing projects. For a nominal additional charge (see below), we are also happy to help mount your artworks for you into these cost effective ready made frames.

Our Standard Frames come in a variety of popular sizes and finishes.

They are designed so that you can mount your own pictures. Each Standard Frame features:

• A generous number flexible metal tabs in the back (to hold your artwork securely)

• A solid MDF material backboard (with hangers)

• A “kick stand” (smaller sized frames) for tabletop display.

• Quality fitted 2mm (thick) “float” glass (rather than plastic/acrylics).

As well as frames, we also sell coloured picture mount cards to help better present your work. These can be precision cut to your frame and picture aperture display needs.

Example - Getting Romsey Framing to Mount a Certificate

You want us to mount and finish a certificate into a narrow A4 brush gold ready made Standard Frame with a pale blue mount. The cost to you would be;

£16.50 for the frame plus £6.00 (a pale blue mount card), plus £12.00 to carefully mount the certificate and take the time to finish the picture for you (we use conservation grade materials, clean the glass and frame thoroughly and make sure the back is firmly secured and taped) - £34.50 in total.

Example - Do It Yourself framing of a Certificate

Alternatively, you may feel happy to mount the certificate and so would prefer to buy the frame and corresponding mount to take-away. In this case, the cost to you would be;

£16.50 for the frame plus £6.00 for the mount (aperture cut to your preferred size) which is £22.50 in total.

Mounting and Finishing

This additional "standard frame" service includes the selection of your chosen mount colour, aperture sizing, mount and barrier (conservation grade protection of your art) card cutting (We use precise digital cutting technologies for an exacting result), conservation mounting, cleaning and presentation.

Embroidery, Cross-stitch and Tapestry Lacing

To present your textile art at its best, we offer a professional "lacing" service for regular (rectangular) pieces into our standard frames. If combined with our standard frames, this hand craft service includes proper packing to ensure even presentation within your frame.

Picture Frame Cleaning and Re-glazing

If you would like us to clean and refit your existing picture, we offer such a service also.

We can also replace glass, but we will need to quote for this based on frame measurements.

Note this is not an “artwork” restoration service. We will not attempt to clean, re-glaze or refit a picture that we believe to be unserviceable.
